Shipping Options

Domestic (within Germany)

For domestic orders, we offer both shipping with and without tracking. The tracking option starts at €6 and the option without tracking at €3.50 for one book. 

Please note that we won't be able to help locate your order or reimburse you for a lost or damaged shipment should you choose a shipping option without tracking.

International

For international orders, we offer both shipping with and without tracking. The tracking option starts at €11 and the option without tracking at €8 for one book. 

Please note that we won't be able to help locate your order or reimburse you for a lost or damaged shipment should you choose a shipping option without tracking.

Delivery Time

Our fulfilment center usually ships the day after an order arrived. At peak times, it might take a little bit longer - we hope you understand that!

You'll receive an email notification once your order has been shipped. If you chose a shipping option with tracking, the email notification includes the tracking number for your order.

Domestic delivery usually takes up to 3 business days.

For international orders, the delivery time highly depends on where you're ordering from. Please be a bit patient if you're ordering from overseas as it might take several weeks for your order to arrive.

If you're worried about where your order is and you've selected a shipping option with tracking, here's what you can do:

  1. Check the carrier website with the tracking number to see where your order currently is.
  2. Contact your local postal service to help locate the package.
  3. If the two options above haven't lead to any results, please do send us an email to hello@making-stories.com

Please note that we won't be able to help locate your order or reimburse you for a lost or damaged shipment should you have chosen a shipping option without tracking.

CUSTOMS

International customers might be subject to import fees, taxes and duties according to your country's import policies. As these policies vary depending on where you're located, please contact your local customs office in case you have any questions on this topic.

Please know that we are legally obligated to declare all international purchase as "merchandise" with the exact value paid by the customer. We won't be able to mark merchandise as "gifts" or declare a lower value than paid for.

Making Stories GmbH is not responsible for a delivery hold-up due to customs or any international customs fees, taxes, import duties or any fees associated with collecting these charges.

Returns

We'll accept any returns in original condition within 14 days of you receiving your order. Please note that you need to send us an email (hello@making-stories.com) within this time frame in order to make use of our return policy.

Please include your order number and a note describing what you'd like us to do: Refund your purchase directly or in form of shop credit. Please note that we won't be able to take over the return shipping costs should you want to return an item in original condition.

Should your order have been damaged during the delivery process and you've chosen a shipping option with tracking and insurance, please file a damage complaint with your local postal service and get in touch with us (hello@making-stories.com). Please include a photo of the damaged item as well as a scan of the damage complaint and a short note to let us know whether you'd rather be reimbursed for the order or receive a new copy.
